Swirl marks, fine scratches & marring are naturally created over time. It can also create a haze to the paint's finish which results in a more dull appearance. These defects can be fixed simply by machine polishing the vehicle to a showroom shine!
A proper paint correction may usually take 1-2 days of just polishing. Each panel is worked on individually & inspected.
Chemical etching is caused when mineral deposits are left to dry for a long period of time on the paint and is often made worse by leaving the car outside in the sun. If the minerals or chemicals in the water are not properly washed off, it can be etched into the surface of the paint. This also commonly occurs from "hosing down" and not drying your car due to minerals in the pipelines.
Fortunately, these defects can be fixed if addressed sooner rather than later!
Holograms are simply micro scratches instilled into your vehicle’s paint by the forced rotation of a rotary polisher combined with an aggressive pad and/or polishing compound. Forceful manual workmanship and/or lack of experience can also lead to hologram trials.
Proper polishing takes a lot of time and preparation. When you are removing severe defects, it will require many steps to refine the paintwork to its true finish.
